Product Description

Description

Forced Circulation Evaporation Plants are designed to prevent fouling and crystallization during liquor boiling by maintaining a relatively high flow velocity within the heating tubes.

The circulating liquor is heated as it passes through the heat exchanger. It then enters a separator where a reduction in pressure causes partial evaporation, cooling the liquor to its boiling point at the corresponding pressure. During crystallization, crystals can be separated from the circulating slurry either by controlling the flow velocity or by employing a specially designed separator.

Particular Feature
  • Long operating periods, evaporation takes place in the separator, and fouling in the calandria is therefore minimised.
  • Optimised heat exchange surface, flow velocity in the tubes determined by the circulation pump.
Fields of Application
  • Liquid with a high tendency for fouling, highly viscous liquid, as the high-concentration step in multiple-effect evaporation plants.
  • Forced circulation evaporators are optimally suited as crystallising evaporators for Saline solutions. In the course of crystallization, the crystal can be separated out through the velocity of the circulating flow or a separator of special design.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q What is a Forced Circulation Evaporation Plant and how does it work?
A Forced Circulation Evaporation Plant is an industrial system that concentrates liquids by evaporation while preventing fouling and crystallization. It works by using a circulation pump to maintain high flow velocity through heating tubes. The liquor is heated in a heat exchanger and then enters a separator where reduced pressure causes partial evaporation, cooling the liquor to its boiling point at the corresponding pressure.
Q What industries or applications are best suited for forced circulation evaporators?
Forced circulation evaporators are ideal for handling highly viscous liquids, liquids with a high tendency for fouling, and saline solutions requiring crystallization. They are widely used across pharmaceuticals, chemicals, wastewater treatment, food & beverage processing, metallurgy, and as the high-concentration step in multiple-effect evaporation plants.
Q How does forced circulation prevent fouling and scaling inside the evaporator?
By maintaining a high flow velocity through the heating tubes via a powerful circulation pump, the system minimizes the residence time of liquor on heat transfer surfaces. Since evaporation primarily takes place in the separator rather than the calandria (tube bundle), the risk of fouling and scaling within the heating element is significantly reduced, resulting in longer operating periods and less downtime for cleaning.
Q Can the forced circulation evaporators be customized for specific process requirements?
Yes. Fully customizable forced circulation evaporation solutions are offered, tailored to specific process requirements, production capacity, operating conditions, and industry standards. Whether it involves special materials, unique separator designs, or integration into existing multi-effect systems, engineering teams work closely with clients to deliver the most suitable configuration.
Q What materials are used in the evaporation plants to ensure durability?
The evaporation plants are constructed using high-grade, corrosion-resistant materials such as stainless steel and other alloys suited to aggressive chemical environments. Each unit undergoes strict quality control and rigorous testing to ensure long service life, structural integrity, and compliance with international standards.
Q What after-sales services are provided for forced circulation evaporation plants?
Comprehensive after-sales support is provided, including professional installation guidance, operator training programs, routine maintenance services, technical assistance, troubleshooting, spare parts supply, and system upgrade options. This ensures maximum operational efficiency, minimal downtime, and long-term satisfaction throughout the equipment's service life.
